The Mission of the Lawrence Board of Health is to strive to educate, promote, improve, and protect
the health and well being of the residents of Lawrence. To build a healthy community and environment
in which Lawrence residents take pride and want to live and in accordance with the City's Charter,
Board of Health Regulations, State and Federal Laws. The Health Divisions of Inspectional Services
under the direction of the Board of Health hold a dutiful obligation to develop and implement health
policies, standards, and regulations according to the Federal, State, and local requirements.
